🌟 Youth Empowerment in Action! 🌟

At JLGB, we’re not just focused on the difference we can make for young people but on the difference they can make in the world around them. We believe that when young people uplift those around them, they are lifted up themselves. 💪🌍 This year, we’re proud to amplify 📢 the voices of our young Jewish leaders, ensuring that they not only thrive but also create lasting change in their local communities and across the UK. ✨

National Youth President
JLGB has been a huge part of my life for 10 years, and I can truly call it home. It’s where I’ve grown, expressed myself, and been surrounded by inspiring and supportive people. I’m incredibly excited to be National Youth President this year – a chance to bring fresh ideas, support upcoming young leaders, and give back to such an amazing organisation. A highlight was running evening entertainment at Winter Camp – seeing my plans come to life was so rewarding. Outside JLGB, I’m in Year 13 and hope to study Interior Design at university.

National Youth Vice President
JLGB to me is about community, friendship, and opportunities that help you grow. I’ve built confidence, leadership skills, and amazing memories with people who share my values. I’m honoured to be National Youth Vice President this year – it’s my chance to give back to the organisation that has shaped me and ensure young voices are heard. A highlight was being in APE at Summer Camp – the energy and belonging were unforgettable. Outside JLGB, I’m in Year 13 studying childcare, working in a nursery, and I love painting and travelling.

Learning and Development
JLGB has been a huge part of my life over the past nine years, giving me the chance to grow, develop, and meet my favourite people. It truly feels like one big supportive family that I can always rely on. I’m honoured to have the role of Learning and Development this year, giving me the opportunity to support young leaders with the same guidance I’ve received, helping them become the best version of themselves. A highlight for me was representing the Jewish community and younger generation at Westminster Abbey for the 80th anniversary of VE Day, proudly distributing white roses to veterans. Outside JLGB, I’m in Year 13 at Yavneh College and hope to study Natural Sciences at university. In my free time, I love volunteering and performing.

Learning and Development
JLGB is not just a youth organisation, it’s a family that I’ve been honoured to be part of since I was seven. It’s where I’ve grown as a member of the Jewish youth, while making incredible memories and lifelong friends along the way. This year, I’m really excited to be a Learning Developer, supporting and inspiring new members as they take on their roles as young leaders, and giving back to JLGB, which has given so much to me. A highlight for me was being given the honour of sitting in the royal box for the 80th VE Day march, alongside JLGB’s CEO and the royal family, proudly representing the Jewish youth community. Outside JLGB, I’m in Year 13 at JCoSS and hope to study Architecture at university. I love playing piano and dancing regularly.

Social and Engagement

To me, JLGB has been such an important place throughout my life where I’ve grown so much as a person while having loads of fun. I’ve gained confidence, leadership skills, and made some of my closest friends along the way. This year, I’m super excited to be co-head of the Social & Engagement Team, and I can’t wait to bring everyone together to create even more amazing memories beyond just camps and weekly sessions. One of my favourite JLGB moments has to be the most recent Young Leaders Weekend. It was such a great chance to spend time with my camp friends who I don’t see often, meet amazing new people, and take part in fun activities. Outside of JLGB, I’m in Year 13 studying Sport Science, Biology, and Geography. I love sport and hope to take a gap year after school to play cricket in Australia!

Social and Engagement
As a student at a non-Jewish school, JLGB is a place where I can connect with my Jewish heritage and make friends my age. It has helped me grow into the person I am today, teaching me essential skills like teamwork and communication, and inspiring me to give back to the community. This year, as Co-Head of Socials and Engagement, I’m excited to help build strong bonds between Young Leaders across the country through the events we are planning. My favourite JLGB moment was at the most recent summer camp, where we had a funfair night complete with rollercoasters and an ice cream truck. Outside JLGB, I’m at City of London School for Girls studying Maths, Theatre Studies, and Religious Studies, and I hope to study Law at university. I enjoy weightlifting, tennis, hockey, theatre, reading, and trying new things with friends.

Our vision is clear: Young People at the Heart of JLGB
We want every young person to have a pathway to fulfil their potential. This means magnifying the impact they can make in their communities and giving them a voice in shaping JLGB’s future. Youth leadership is not just encouraged at JLGB—it’s at the heart of everything we do. Whether at a local activity groups, camps or through our National Youth Forum, we provide young people the chance to lead, grow, and drive the change that matters most to them.

Following all the challenges of recent times, JLGB is not simply returning to 'normal'. Instead, we are committed to building a better tomorrow—one where thousands more young Jewish people each year can thrive, lead, and make a lasting difference.

Join us in celebrating youth leadership and building a brighter future for JLGB! 💫 Whether you’re a parent, alumni, or supporter, we invite you to stay involved and witness the impact our young leaders will have in the year ahead. Together, we can inspire the next generation of changemakers. 🙌
