Your People. Your Adventure. Your Time.

No two JLGB nights are exactly the same. From games, sports and team challenges to creative activities, practical skills, social action and programmes exploring Jewish festivals, values, identity and culture, there is always something different to get involved in.

And it does not stop at your weekly group. Being part of JLGB opens the door to trips, camps, national events, DofE and even more opportunities throughout the year.

Do not worry if you do not know anyone yet. Lots of young people join JLGB without knowing everyone in the group, and some arrive without knowing anyone at all.

Our leaders will welcome you, introduce you to the group and help you get involved from your very first night.

JLGB brings young Jewish people together every week to have fun, share experiences and build friendships that can last far beyond their Local Group.

At JLGB, young people are encouraged to have their say, share ideas and take on more responsibility as they grow.

As members get older, they can develop their leadership through Young Leader opportunities, training and the chance to support younger members at Local Groups, camps and national events.

It is all about building the confidence and skills to step up, lead and make a difference.

JLGB gives young people regular opportunities to build confidence, independence, teamwork, communication, problem-solving and practical skills.

As they progress, there are even more opportunities to get involved through volunteering, social action, DofE, leadership training and wider JLGB programmes.

The skills developed at JLGB go far beyond one evening a week.

You do not need any previous JLGB experience and you do not need to know anyone before you arrive.

Our Local Group team will welcome you, introduce you to everyone and help you get involved.

You can join JLGB throughout the year, subject to spaces being available.

Juniors

Be amazed at what you can do! Get creative. Go on adventures. Make new friends. Have fun and help others. Take the first step on your JLGB journey. This is just the beginning.

Be free to explore, play a new sport, go rock climbing, or learn to dance. You can join a band, make a film, hang out with your friends - what do you want to do? We’ll help you make it happen. Your JLGB journey is shaped by you.

Young Leaders

Young people in Years 11–13 can also access wider leadership opportunities and our monthly Disruptors programme.

Your first two weeks are free, giving you the chance to experience your Local Group before becoming a JLGB member.

After your trial, you can join as a JLGB member and continue taking part in your Local Group throughout the year.

Membership also gives access to member benefits and reduced member prices on eligible JLGB camps, events and experiences.

Most normal Local Group activities are included within membership.

Occasionally, there may be an additional cost for a trip, outing or special activity. If this happens, families will always be told in advance.

We want every young person to be able to take part in JLGB.

Financial assistance may be available towards membership, camps and other JLGB experiences. If cost may be a barrier, please speak to us confidentially and our team will be happy to help.

For your first few sessions, just wear comfortable clothes that you can be active in.

Once you become a member, your Local Group team will explain anything you need to know about JLGB uniform.

Usually, just yourself!

If a particular activity requires anything else, your Local Group team will let you know in advance.

Each Local Group has its own meeting day, time and venue.
