JLGB Welcomes Two New Youth Trustees

JLGB is delighted to announce the appointment of Sam Steinberg and Simone Silver as the newest members of the JLGB Board of Trustees.

Equally amazing volunteers for JLGB in their own right, they both bring exceptional expertise and passion, poised to contribute significantly to our mission of empowering Jewish youth for a brighter tomorrow.

At the same time, we bid a heartfelt farewell to Jordana Price, whose invaluable contributions, especially during the pandemic, have shaped our new strategies and inspired many. Her dedication as JLGB’s first ever ‘youth’ trustee has set a high standard for future trustees.

As we embark on this new chapter, we look forward to the fresh perspectives and innovative ideas that Sam and Simone will undoubtedly bring.

Meet Our New Trustees

Sam Steinberg
Sam Steinberg is a distinguished engineer with a degree from Queens’ College, Cambridge, where he specialised in civil, structural, and environmental engineering. Currently working as a Graduate Engineer at Arup, Sam brings a wealth of experience from high-profile projects like the HS2 and various bridge designs. His leadership roles at JLGB, including directing the Junior Leader training programme and overseeing programming for national camps, showcase his exceptional organisational and mentoring skills. Sam’s technical expertise and commitment to youth development make him an invaluable asset to the JLGB Board of Trustees.

Simone Silver
Simone Silver, a recent graduate with a first-class degree in Geography from the University of Birmingham, currently works as a Graduate Catastrophe Modeller at Gallagher Re. Her extensive volunteer experience includes leadership roles at JLGB and the Redbridge Jewish Community Centre, where she has inspired many through her dedication and creativity. Simone’s background in risk management, her ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, and her passion for environmental sustainability position her as a dynamic and forward-thinking trustee. Her innovative approach and commitment to youth engagement are bound to bring fresh energy to the JLGB Board of Trustees.
