Do your bit

Student Volunteers Needed In University Towns

Are you ready to ‘Do your bit’? JLGB is calling on students to volunteer for weekly groups!

Can you spare a few hours each week to change the lives of young people alongside your studies? Are you passionate about inspiring the next generation of leaders while gaining new skills? Then JLGB is calling you!

By volunteering for just one night a week, you will gain a vast range of skills such as; management, leadership and communication, all of which can also be applied in a professional environment. In addition, you will be opening the door to a huge network of new friends of all ages who will warmly welcome you into the JLGB family.

Above all, the most significant benefit of becoming an adult volunteer with JLGB is the personal reward from making a positive impact on Jewish young people whilst watching them grow into young leaders with the confidence and skills to succeed. Uni students are perfect for this and we believe will be able to use these new skills in both their academic and professional lives.

Our groups around the country only succeed when we have a great team of volunteers, which is why we need you! There are JLGB local groups in all the Jewish communities across the UK, from Glasgow to Cardiff to London and we are now recruiting adult leaders, youth workers and administrators to play a vital role as coaches and mentors to our young members. Expenses will be paid for you so all you have to bring is an enthusiastic attitude.

You’ll build a network of friends across all ages and professions, as well as having your own mentors and coaches to help you fulfil your own potential. You’ll receive rewards, awards and recognition, because we like to thank our volunteers for the commitment they make to us. You’ll have fun, attending social events with people like yourself, giving you a real sense of belonging while you’re making new friends for life.

In particular, we are looking for helpers in Leeds, Cheadle/South Manchester and Woodford to support the launch of these groups in September.
