Aged 14-25 And Looking To Kick Off 2017 With A New Challenge?

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) is the world’s leading youth achievement award and through JLGB’s unique partnership, all Jewish 14-25 year-olds can take part in our fully Kosher DofE, giving them the opportunity to be the very best they can be.

Applications are now open with launches taking place this term in all the Jewish schools including JFS, King Solomon and Hasmonean High School.

There are three awards available to take part in: Bronze, Silver and Gold, each giving young people the opportunity to take part in a wonderfully diverse range of exciting activities. The Awards are highly prized by colleges, universities and employers.

You'll achieve your Bronze and Silver Awards by taking part and completing a flexible, personalised programme of activities across four sections: Volunteering, Physical, Skills and Expedition. If you go for your Gold Award, there's an additional Residential section.

Since the DofE was started in 1956, JLGB has been the exclusive Jewish Licenced Organisation. We have an exceptional track record of providing training and assessments that meet the religious and cultural needs of over 800 Jewish young people each year.

The Award is getting more and more popular and due in part to our awareness campaigns;  more young people from ultra-orthodox Jewish communities are participating, particularly those who require single-gender, Kashrut and Shomer Shabbat provision.

The JLGB is committed to making sure anyone who wants to take part can do so and, in addition to religious sensitivities, we also offer tremendous support to those young people with physical or learning disabilities who want to be a part of all that the DofE has to offer.
