JLGB Welcomes JCoSS To The DofE Family
We are really excited that this year sees the first group of over 100 DofE participants from JCoSS already applied. This continues our effort to make Kosher Duke of Edinburgh's Award provision available in every single Jewish school, as well as Yeshivas and SEN schools and colleges. Additional provision for Jewish young people in mainstream schools are now also available with new community groups across the country.
Vikki Rose, Head of Informal Jewish Education at JCoSS says: "We are thrilled that as we now have our first Year 9 cohort we can engage with the Duke of Edinburgh Award. Over 100 students have signed up and are particularly excited for their expedition". One student, Layla said "I can't wait for my expedition! I am really pleased to be doing something fun that I know will be recognised as a great achievement".
With fantastic support from The Pears Foundation, it looks like this year JLGB are going to have a record number of participants from across the Jewish community taking part in DofE with over 800 expected to apply this season.
