JLGB Remembers on Yom HaShoah
In April, JLGB leaders took part in a five-day visit to Poland to participate in the March of the Living (MOTL), as part of commemorations for Yom HaShoah. MOTL sees thousands of Jewish people, from countries all around the world walk the three kilometres from Auschwitz to Birkenau.
JLGB members and leaders also helped out at the National Yom HaShoah Commemoration in Hyde Park as well as many local ceremonies across the UK, where Chair of JLGB's Youth Forum Sacha Johnstone (pictured) gave a reading on behalf of JLGB.
JLGB is gearing up to once again take a major role coordinating the National AJEX Parade alongside our friends at the Association of Jewish Ex-Servicemen and Women where over 150 JLGB participants will take part. This year the remembrance parade will take place on Sunday 18th November 2012 at Whitehall. As this date coincides with National Mitzvah Day it is hoped that even more young people will perform the Mitzvah of remembrance on this day.
