Let's Go Around The World In 8 Days

The theme of JLGB Summer Camp 2014 says it all, around 400 young Jewish people from across the globe were taken on a whirlwind tour of the world this summer!

With the usual mix of enthralling evening entertainments and the daily dose of dramatic activities set on the English coastline an amazing time was had by all.  The fun was non stop and with the sun shining (most of the time) the site was full of songs, cheering and laughter.  One of the highlights of this years' camp was the hypnotist who entertained the crowd on the Thursday evening.  Many of the staff took a great opportunity to 'Sleep' while on stage, and under his control the results had the crowd rolling with laughter.   

This year we were joined by a record number of international guests, with 100 young people travelling from Israel, and 25 from Russia giving this 'Around the World' themed week a real International flavour!

Sofia Levy from Netanya said, 'In England there were Israeli, Russian, and British kids, and best of all, we were all Jewish. It was so great to get to know each other and connect.  We split into groups paired with the British and the Russians. It was great to bond with everyone.
We played sports, and had evening activities, competitions and performances .We laughed and had fun, Taking these experiences and memories and not to mention many new friends into our collective future.'
