JLGB Celebrate Mitzvah Day!

On a rainy Sunday afternoon, JLGB Newcastle members met to raise money for Phillip Cussins House (the local Jewish Old Age Home) and The Poppy Appeal.  They did this by washing the cars of the local community by doing their part for Mitzvah Day 2010.    

Despite the fact that everyone ended up very wet and cold, a fun afternoon was had by all and a true team spirit was evident to see between the members, adult leaders and helpers.  Two very wet hours and twenty cars later, over £120 was raised which will be split between the two charities.
