DofE In The North

Young people from Manchester and Leeds recently took part in their Duke of Edinburgh’s Bronze Award practice expedition.   The participants completed the 2 day trip with smiles on their faces and are looking forward to more expeditions in the future.

Steven Weller, JLGB DofE Coordinator for the North, said: “In spite of the challenging ‘typically northern weather’ every member of the group completed the expedition with a smile on their faces and I know that everyone discovered something new about themselves; not only how to handle this new experience but also how to make sure they pass their assessed expedition coming soon.  Congratulations to everyone”.

JLGB is the only authorised Jewish Operating Authority for the DofE and, with a grant from the Pears Foundation, has been able to expand its DofE provision to more young people all over the UK.
