Why did you choose to become a trustee for JLGB?
I am a practising solicitor and also act as JLGB’s Honorary Solicitor. I bring legal and governance expertise to the Board, supporting informed decision-making, risk management, and compliance. My long-standing involvement with JLGB also gives me valuable insight into how strategic decisions affect members on the ground.
What is your favourite JLGB moment?
My favourite JLGB moments come from seeing young people step outside their comfort zones, grow in confidence, and build lasting friendships. Watching members develop into leaders within the organisation is particularly rewarding.
What has been your favourite JLGB moment or proudest achievement as a Trustee?
My proudest achievement as a Trustee is contributing to JLGB’s stability and resilience during periods of change. I am most proud of helping to ensure the organisation remains safe, well-governed, and sustainable, so it can continue to have a positive impact on young people and their communities.
If you have a specific role as a trustee, what does your role involve?
My role focuses on legal oversight and good governance. This includes advising on regulatory matters, supporting risk and safeguarding processes, and helping to maintain clear, effective policies that protect the organisation and support its long-term future.
