JLGB Winter Camp 25/26: “Now That’s What I Call JLGB”

This winter, JLGB brought young people from across the UK together for an unforgettable Winter Camp experience, united by the theme “Now That’s What I Call JLGB”. With participants travelling from communities across the country, including more than half coming from the North of England, the week was a powerful celebration of connection, diversity, and shared Jewish identity.

From the moment campers arrived, the atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming. The theme set the tone for a week where everyone was encouraged to get involved, step forward, and bring their own energy to the experience. Through fast-paced team challenges and collaborative activities, campers quickly built friendships, discovered new strengths, and felt part of a supportive and inclusive environment.

Music sat at the heart of Winter Camp 25/26. The “Now That’s What I Call JLGB” theme came to life through music-based challenges, creative workshops, and performance opportunities that celebrated self-expression and imagination. Whether testing their musical knowledge, creating original content, or taking to the stage, campers were encouraged to express themselves and support one another.

Evenings brought the whole camp together for shared moments filled with excitement and celebration. High-energy game shows, talent showcases, and creative premieres created an atmosphere of collective joy, with campers cheering each other on and building memories that will last long beyond the week itself.

Alongside the energy and excitement, Winter Camp also offered moments of calm and connection. Cosy communal spaces, shared meals, and relaxed social time allowed friendships to deepen and reinforced the strong sense of belonging at the heart of the JLGB community.

The week reached its peak as campers came together to welcome the New Year, celebrating surrounded by friends, laughter, and positivity. Marking this moment together captured the spirit of “Now That’s What I Call JLGB”, a shared experience full of joy, connection, and optimism for the year ahead.

Reflecting on the success of the week, Camp Director Louis Garrad said:
“This Winter Camp was something really special. The energy, creativity, and togetherness our young people brought throughout the week was incredible, and our volunteers went above and beyond to make every moment count. Seeing friendships form, confidence grow, and our community come together to welcome the New Year reminded us exactly why Winter Camp matters so much. I could not be prouder of what we created together.”

JLGB Winter Camp 25/26 was more than just a holiday. It was a celebration of young people coming together through music, creativity, and community, leaving with greater confidence, lasting friendships, and unforgettable memories.

With Winter Camp complete, excitement already turns to what comes next. Summer Camp 2026 applications open on 18 January, with another unforgettable JLGB experience on the horizon.
