National Citizen Service (NCS) is a Government-backed programme that helps young people build skills for work, life and the transition into adulthood. It invites young people to be the best they can, whatever their background and ambition. NCS aims to promote a more cohesive, responsible and engaged society by bringing young people from different backgrounds together to make a positive impact on their communities.

Week 1:

It’s time to challenge yourself and your team! Living with your team at an outdoor activity centre, you’ll get to know some amazing people and enjoy some quality time away from home!

In your team, you’ll get the chance to take on some adrenaline-fuelled activities like rock climbing, kit karting, hiking and archery.

You won’t believe the difference a week makes. Even if you’re the biggest scaredy-cat, in just a few days you’ll be a rock climbin’, zip wirin’, high-rope-conquerin’ machine!

Week 2:

Now’s your chance to discover something new!

You’ll be reunited with your group, living away from home where you’ll also learn some huge life skills that make for a killer CV.

Learn from industry experts running hands-on practical workshops and visit leading businesses and charities. Our previous participants had the opportunity to visit Twitter UK, Crisis and Borough Market. You will develop valuable skills such as teamwork, leadership and communication.

P.s. If you’re doing DofE Gold, this fits the criteria for your residential *thumbs up*

Week 3:

It’s time to make your mark! This is where your NCS experience all comes together. All the fun and inspiration from the first two weeks means you’re ready to step up and deliver your very own social action project. Plan; Fundraise; Make a difference!

You and your team have the power to change the world around you. Whether you’re a thinker or a doer, this is your chance to make a real difference, have some amazing stories to tell, and be part of something you’ll never never forget!

Graduation:

Let’s celebrate in style!

We think it’s only right that you and your team should enjoy a well-earned reward for doing something truly inspirational in your community.

At the end of the programme, you’re now part of the bigger NCS family. This is only just the beginning! You’ll get exclusive access to potential volunteering opportunities and apprenticeships as well as amazing discounts and big events!

Once an NCSer, always an NCSer!
