Job Type: 1 year, full time (part time options would be considered), from beginning of September 2018 to beginning of September 2019

Location: JLGB's Head Office

Remuneration: From £1,000 per month

Reporting to: Programme Impact Manager

JLGB are delighted to offer a paid year-long internship for a reliable and enthusiastic person with excellent youth work skills and a passion for youth social action who wants to gain valuable experience.

Each year through national awards, including the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, National Citizen Service and Open College Network Accreditations, evolve enables and equips thousands of Jewish young people to fully engage in meaningful social action, enhancing their employability and transferable skills to become active citizens in their local community and wider society.

This position is the perfect opportunity to kick-start your career with some hands on experience:

• Delivering assemblies in schools
• Planning seminars and events
• Working alongside charities, youth groups and synagogues to create youth friendly volunteering opportunities
• Supporting young people to complete their volunteering awards through evolve

The chosen candidates will need to be sensitive to the needs of faith communities when working with JLGB’s young stakeholders and their families, and be respectful of their observance, dietary and practise needs.

The work will include some evenings, Sunday and weekend work as well as summer residential programmes.
