Coordinator
Job Type: 1 year, full time
Location: JLGB's Head Office
Remuneration: £21,000 - £24,000 depending on experience
Reporting to: Director of Strategy and Communications
JLGB are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and hard working person with excellent written skills and a keen interest in communications. You will have experience of applying to trusts and foundations for grant funding and the ability to develop strong cases for support through inspiring proposals. You will be adept at producing high quality communications that are targeted to different audiences across numerous channels.
You will work closely with the Director of Strategy and Communications on a range of tasks including:
- Writing articles and promotional material for web, print and social media
- Assisting with production of marketing materials and literature
- Creating communications schedules in line with the cross-departmental communications strategy
- Creating audio and video content, including editing photos and videos
- Using analytics to inform marketing strategies
- Researching and making funding applications to charitable trust and foundations
- Providing end of funding impact and evaluation reports
Skills/Personal Qualities required:
- A strong communicator with the ability to prioritise tasks and work calmly under pressure to meet multiple deadlines
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and online databases
- Good organisational skills, creative thinking and strong attention to detail
- Strong knowledge and experience of working across digital and social media platforms
- Fast learner, able to adapt quickly to new software, systems and processes
- An understanding of effective trust fundraising techniques
- Sound research and analytical skills
- A meticulous eye for detail with experience of achieving challenging financial targets
- Create, develop and submit clear, compelling and persuasive applications on behalf of the charity including project budgets and plans
- Maintain up to date database including details of all applications
