Administrator – JLGB Northern Office
Salary: £18,000 per annum
Location: JLGB’s Northern Office - Whitefield, Manchester
4 days per week (Monday – Thursday), flexible hours considered
JLGB is looking for an experienced and self-motivated administrator to support with the running of our Manchester office and JLGB’s work based in the North of England, including our heritage project, Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and JLGB weekly groups.

The JLGB provides positive activities within a fun, friendly, safe and structured environment that meets the religious and cultural needs of the Jewish community.
Person Specification:
- Previous experience as an administrator, including the administration of events
- Excellent communication skills, including an impeccable and confident telephone manner and fantastic written skills to compose effective emails
- The post holder will be the first port of call for engagement with our northern stakeholders and volunteers, and will be expected to have a welcoming, positive, professional and helpful attitude
- First class organiser, able to keep accurate records and coordinate multiple diaries
- Brilliant time management and logistics skills
- Sharp computing skills and a high level of competency with digital systems, databases and Microsoft Office
- Interest in youth and heritage projects
- Social media skills (desirable)
The chosen candidate will be hard-working, enthusiastic and reliable and will need to be sensitive to the needs of faith communities when working with JLGB’s young stakeholders and their families, and be respectful of their observance, dietary and practise needs.
* Successful candidates will be required to be flexible in their approach and the work will include occasional evening and Sunday hours.
This position is a part-time appointment, 4 days per week, from October 2018 to December 2020.
