Parents

evolve is a volunteering initiative with a difference. Created especially for young Jewish people, evolve provides a way for you to help encourage, support and manage your children’s progress in a way which could not be any simpler for you.

What will evolve do for your children?

As parents, you play a huge part in supporting your children’s volunteering. Your involvement will go a long way to helping your children reach their individual potential and ensure they achieve success. Your children will benefit by:

• Developing their sense of community and identity, through faith and culturally sensitive volunteering roles, tailored specifically for Jewish young people.

• Learning new transferable life skills, exploring creativity and boosting their confidence whilst they serve the community – known as the ‘double benefit principle’ - directly influencing their future career aspirations.

• Gaining recognition and qualifications through awards and accreditation via the Open College Network, the vInspired award and Duke of Edinburgh’s Award which in turn will greatly enhance your children’s CV and UCAS Form.

What makes evolve different?

evolve is a revolution in youth volunteering, bringing social action into the digital age. The easy-to-use evolve system makes your children’s volunteering a more personal experience, easier to do and more beneficial than ever before…

• Your children get a personal profile designed specifically around their needs. There are family profiles too, where you can consolidate all of your children’s achievements and qualifications in one place - manage multiple siblings’ progress in one easy step!

• Family profiles for parents, where you and your children can search and connect for volunteering opportunities near you, based on skills they want, awards they are completing, hobbies and interests, group opportunities…

• It’s really easy for young people to be rewarded and recognised for the valuable time they spend volunteering by getting involved in prestigious volunteering awards and accredited training; parents are also at the heart of helping their children to achieve success.

• For many opportunities, parents can volunteer with their children, or you can even help to support a group of young friends with their volunteering as their coordinator.
