In October, more than 50 students from King David High School in Manchester took part in musical workshops run by JLGB. The students were able to try their hands at more than a dozen brass, woodwind and percussion instruments; some even had a go at conducting. JLGB Musical Workshops will be travelling the country, and will be coming to a Jewish Primary or Secondary school near you soon!
Saphia from Manchester says “Being in the band is really great. It has given me the chance to develop an amazing skill that I never would have tried before! JLGB has given me the chance to make amazing friends and develop and share a passion for music!”
JLGB musicians have many opportunities on offer, recently performing at the Jewish Living Expo, and many other community events. Young Jewish musicians from up and down the country are looking forward to National Band Camp on 14th - 17th February, and if you play a wooodwind, brass or percussion instrument this weekend is for you.
