After our fantastic Summer Camp over 80 international guests from all over Israel and Russia joined us for a cultural tour of London. They took part in a tailor-made programme getting to see many attractions including Big Ben, The Houses of Parliament and the Holocaust Memorial in Hyde Park, topped off with a visit to Thorpe Park.
As part of JLGB's international strategy, we aim through Summer Camp to connect UK youth with Israeli, European, Russian and American young Jewish people using positive activity, personal development and discussion to promote international friendship. Our approach helps to engender a modern understanding and appreciation of what it means to be Jewish - not only from their own individual perspectives but also from the views of those who they encounter from a wide variety of social, economic and cultural backgrounds across the globe.
Well done to all the JLGB volunteers who acted as tour guides and provided an unforgettable experience of the capital! We look forward to welcoming many of our international friends back next year! Roll on Summer 2014!
